History | Past Commanders |
The day-to-day "running" of the Squadron is in the hands of officers elected by the membership. Each year at an Annual General Meeting (usually held in May), the slate of officers is determined and the "Watch" changes over to the new Executive Committee, commonly known as "The Bridge".
The Bridge meets on the third Thursday of each month (except July and December) at the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club at 1900 (7:00 p.m.). Meetings usually last 1.5 to 2 hours as there is much to discuss to ensure that a quality program in boater education is provided to our students each year. Guests are welcome to attend these meetings.
There is a continuing need for volunteers from the membership to take up positions on the Bridge. Several positions have been created in the hope that "many hands make light work." Any members who feel they have time to offer should contact the Commander.
